Handmade Expressions is a sourcing partner of fairly traded and environmentally friendly products from India. They have partnered with various grass-root level NGOs and artisan cooperatives to help them create high quality, trendy, hand-crafted goods that are tailored for international markets. This partnership provides the various artisan communities with sustained employment and fair wages. The artisans use art forms native to their regions and use natural fibers and recycled materials wherever possible.
Handmade Expressions also helps the development of communities by aiding third-party initiatives such as: Vidya Archana (an educational program for underprivileged children), the development of medical facilities in association with Craft Resource Center, and Kala Raksha Vidyalaya (a vocational education program for women).
